Volunteer Positions

Bartender 

Our bartenders play a key role in making sure our members and guests have a great time at the club. If you enjoy interacting with people and can serve responsibly, this could be a fun and rewarding way to contribute.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays

• 6pm-10pm

Duties:

• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests.

• Monitor the bar to ensure all patrons are served responsibly.

• Handle basic cash and card transactions.

• Keep the bar area clean and organized, including wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies.

• Collect dirty dishware and garbage from tables and operate the dishwasher.

Requirements:

• Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).

Cleaner

Help us keep our curling club welcoming and tidy! As a volunteer cleaner, you’ll ensure our facility stays clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.

Mondays

• 10am-noon

Duties:

• Clean and disinfect surfaces, including tables, counters, and seating areas.

• Sweep and mop the floors in high-traffic areas.

• Empty trash bins and restock supplies in the washrooms.

• Perform light maintenance tasks such as spot-cleaning spills and ensuring all areas are clutter-free.

• Help keep our lounge, event spaces, and entryways clean for a great first impression.

Requirements:

• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.

• Ability to complete light physical tasks, such as lifting or bending.

Pay-As-You-Play Cashier

This role involves greeting curlers in our pay-as-you-play leagues and ensuring their payments are collected smoothly. If you're organized and enjoy interacting with people, this is a great way to support the club.

• 8am-10am

Duties:

• Greet curlers arriving for Pay-As-You-Play sessions.

• Process payments for daily curling fees, including handling cash or card transactions.

Requirements:

• Comfortable handling cash and making change, or using a card payment system.
